Due to international convenience only English sites are listed. Scores are out of ten.

Webspace

GeoCities:Geocities is among the most famous of all free services in the internet. They provide both 2mb of webspace and a POP3 email account. Lots of neighborhoods to select according to your interests. Offers 3 HTML editors to build your page. Quite fast. Score:9 Focus-Asia: Located at Singapore designed especially for Asian people. 2mb space is freely available. Score:7 Angelfire: Although provides only 200kb of webspace, Angelfire has lots of GFX to choose from apart from the 200k limit. Fast and rich enough for just a personnel web presence. Score:6 Tripod: 2mb of free webspace is at your service. Very popular. Quite fast and reliable. Offers some proprietary CGI-BIN server side executables to choose from. Score:8 FortuneCity: Provides an ultimate 6mbs of webspace for free. Has lots of districts to choose from. Speed is average. Still highly recommended. Score:9 Onestop: Offers 2mb of space and nothing much more. Quite slow. Score:6 Xoom: Xoom offers a massive 5mb of webspace. Personnel CGI scripts are allowed too! Linkexchange and Bannerswap allowed. The only bad mark is the speed. Recommended. Score:8

Web - Based E-mail Accounts

Rocketmail: Another e-mail service. Includes some ezines. This service simply works fluently. Recommended. Score:8 Hotmail: The most popular web-based e-mail service. 300k of space is reserved for your mails. The interface is just great. Lots of e-zines are optionally available including USA Today and Slate. Score:9 Netaddress: This is a service powered by USA.net and thus gives you an e-mail addres ending with usa.net. It takes 5 mins to get your new addres. But it occasionally shuts down. Still great service. Score:7

Web Site Routing

Monolith: One of the best services on the net. Monolith has a bunch of options to select from. You can have a web address your_name.home.ml.org in a few minutes. It forwards the browsers hitting your name to your real web-address. (which may be a lot uglier) It also works with dynamic net addreses so you can make your PC with a dial up connection a web server. And it works! Score: 10
